Do you probably feel that you will never forget any of these wonderful things, but the trouble is that memory is a funny thing, it fades … I never thought I would forget things, like my daughter’s first word, the day she walked, the funny words she used to be saying when got a little older or the way she cued in her sleep… I just can’t quite recall many of the things I thought I would never forget, but day goes after day being busy with housekeeping, changing the baby, doing bedtime routine, food shopping, nursery run, scheduling some work in, washing, cooking and cleaning again…
Then at the end of the day, when you child is finally asleep looking particularly cute and beautiful, despite screaming for the past two hours, you have just sat down on the sofa… what makes you smile?
There is nothing more rewarding than watching your children grow, but it is also so satisfying and calming going through your children’s photographs… Memories fill up my heart and happy tears often fill my eyes too…
For me it’s a glass of wine and a glimpse onto my side board where I keep all of our family prints and my children portraits. This moment looking at their beautiful smiles or silly faces that I love the most; it makes the pain of day to go away all at once and fills my heart with warm fuzzy feeling, it makes me happy and almost rested…
